  1. Wind energy has made enormous progress. However,due to the need for backup energy, the theoretical limit for grid coverage can not exceed 50 %.

    So you are trying to say as long as the installed capacity does not exceed 50% of the grid’s demand, wind energy can be used as a source of reliable, dispatchable, efficient source of generation. Ya! right! The only kind of “progress” wind has made is to make rate payers poorer, and wind companies richer. Their performance is still pathetic, that hasn’t changed.
